Lets start our trip in Asia, in Hong Kong to be more precise.
Indoor or outdoor, decorative or technical, lighting in all its many variations is in huge demand. Running in tandem with the fair is HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition).

This allows even more visitors to join. The fair will be held take in Hall 1 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

Almost at the same time but 10,000’s of kilometers away in Frankfurt, Germany the key event for the lighting industry takes place.
The Light+ Building 2012 is the worlds biggest trade fair for lighting and intelligent buildings, running from April 15 to April 20 and organized by Messe Frankfurt.
Held every two years, the industry presents its latest innovations for the fields of lighting, electrical engineering and house and building automation. The main theme at Light+Building 2012 is energy efficiency.
Light+Building 2012 is divided into four segments:
Lighting, in which over 1500 manufacturers present the entire spectrum of lighting technology at the same time and place, e.g., design luminaires in
a variety of styles – from modern to classic –, technical luminaires and lamps of all kinds and for all applications, as well as a large selection of lighting components and accessories.
Electrical Engineering, the second segment, the building-automation segment is the most important forum for intelligent building-services technology.
Home and Building automation, plays a key role in integrated building planning as it does, therefore another key segment at Light+Building 2012.
